What's in the bottle, and why.

NZ Hoki Oil

Microencapsulated, with 20% left free for aroma. A rich source of marine omega-3 EPA and DHA — the anti-inflammatory fatty acids your cat can't make on their own. Supports a soft coat, supple joints and a steady heart.

NZ Green-Lipped Mussel (micronised)

Farmed in the Marlborough Sounds. Contains ETA, an omega-3 found nowhere else, plus chondroitin and glycosaminoglycans that directly support joint cartilage.

Bone Broth Hydrolysate (spray-dried)

The carrier and the reason cats actually eat it. Slow-cooked, hydrolysed into free amino acids — collagen, glycine, glutamine. Deep umami. Bioavailable from the first lick.

L-Carnitine Tartrate

Helps the body shuttle fat into the mitochondria where it's burned for energy. Supports liver function and a healthy weight, especially in less active older cats.

MCT Oil (microencapsulated)

Medium-chain triglycerides give the brain a clean alternative fuel to glucose. In senior cats this matters — cognitive support, sharper days.

L-Theanine

An amino acid from green tea. Promotes calm without sedation. For the cat who hides under the bed when the vacuum comes out.

Beta-Glucans (yeast-derived)

Daily, gentle support for the innate immune system. Not a quick fix — a quiet, structural one.

Our hoki is wild-caught off the South Island in one of the most tightly regulated fisheries in the world. Our green-lipped mussels are farmed in the Marlborough Sounds — the only place on earth they grow.

We make CataTonic® in small batches in Aotearoa, then ship it direct. No middlemen, no ingredients sourced from wherever was cheapest that quarter.

Is this a medicine?+

No. CataTonic® is a daily nutritional topper. It supports healthy joints, calm behaviour, immune health and cognition — it doesn't treat disease. If your cat is unwell, see a vet.

My cat is fussy. Will they eat it?+

Almost certainly. The base is slow-cooked bone broth — the taste cats evolved to want. The hoki aroma seals the deal.

Can kittens have it?+

We've formulated CataTonic® for cats 12 months and older. Kittens under 12 months have different nutritional needs.

Does it need refrigeration?+

No. The airless pump prevents oxidation. Store below 30°C and use within 60 days of first pump.
